Even if it brings us Denver or Utah--won't really matter who we get, with Roy out--this was a great game and I'm glad I was there. It was rarely pretty, as the Blazers often were last season. But it was pretty much this insane season summed up--horrible luck, confusion, doubt, and then people playing beyond themselves to win anyway when nobody would have blamed them for folding. The spontaneous "Mar-cus Cam-by" chant was worth being there for alone.
4 fewer wins--maybe only 3--than last year, with half a team most of the season? Insane, and a credit to the whole organization, no matter the fact that they'll probably be 5-and-out in the 1st round without Roy. If they can stay even remotely healthy next year, even if Oden doesn't turn out to be a world-beater, they will be a serious favorite for 2nd in the West--Batum and Roy in for this season, say, and they would be looking at 56-60 wins.
