I remember being 12 or 13, staying up way too late, bed side lamp trained onto the screen of a GameBoy playing Pokemon Blue. I was a bit embarrassed but giddy to pick up SoulSilver a couple weeks ago. It really is an amazing game. I keep my trusty Pokewalker in my pocket at work (who knew I average 11,000 steps per day?!) and secretly check it during the day (Oh, Ponyta! Enjoying your walk!).
I only read about half of your novel...er, MEGA REVIEW....but I got the point. This game is amazing and worth every dollar spent and every hour wasted catchin' those Pokeymen.
Good review. I wouldn't buy this product even if I were the protagonist in Brewster's Millions, but I loved reading it. I also like the idea that you would re-review a game, because opinions of games can really change the more you spend time with them.
I'm confused Graham; When did anyone bother editing me before?
Post Script: Glad the rest of you dig this. Don't expect a ton of these mega reviews in the future -- they take fucking FOREVER -- but when I end up plugging a few hundred hours into a game (210 hours and counting in SoulSilver) in the span of a week or two I may have to go this route if only to cover the full range of a given game's massively addictive qualities.
Post Post Script: How many of you would be up for some Friend Code trading for the purposes of Pokébattling and/or Pokétrading? Or have I just crossed the rubicon of nerdiness beyond which Blogtown becomes scary and inhospitable to anyone who has ever actually seen the opposite sex sans pants?
Post Post Script Script: If you answered "Yes, I NEED some Pokétrading and Pokébattling action, like, now!" to my last question, I've got a Mewtwo, Lugia, Ho-oh, all the legendary birds, all the legendary dogs except Entei, Lapras, Snorlax, Dratini and two shiny Gyarados' (read: it's red instead of blue and has a 1/8192 chance to appearing in the wild). Interest piqued?
