The only "straight" men who constantly obsess over homosexuality, and write books about it, and form organizations to "deal" with it, have some deep down issues (or not so deep) with their own sexuality.

Normal straight guys, whether they are somewhat homophobic or not, do not spend all day thinking about it and addressing it. They think about the subject when it comes up, but they don't write books about it.

*yawn* Dan Savage, again? Hasn't this schtick gotten old?

Welp, Blabby's going to make me eat those words from last week.

Time to go to KFC and order a Double-Down, because I once again agree, wholeheartedly.

Well Blabby, straight men actually do seem thoroughly obsessed with gay people. I can't seem to hear a conversation among any youngish men without hearing some gay reference. But I get your point.

And in answer to the title question of this blog post, yes.

Also, I think I'd like to hook up with "Lucien"

I'm just trying to figure out which orientation he's trying to encourage with that still from "Brokeback Mountain" on the cover.

@ SeanPDX -

You're hanging around the wrong straight men. In general, those of us who are comfortable in our sexuality give a rat's ass about anyone else's.
7
sean, I take you point. Particularly about "men" under about 25. Still a lot of testosterone raging and jockeying for mates.

But those guys will simmer down and won't go on to found "family" organizations.

HAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAA!
You are becoming quite the broken record Savvy but this story is HI-larious.

I laughed along with everyone else, 'til I read that Rekers has adopted and provided foster care for teenage boys for years. Maybe he doesn't want gays to adopt so he can have all the kids for himself.

Please wait...
