instead of a non-cheese product, try this: a thin slice of aged cheddar topped by a slice of whole milk mozzarella. or a few dollops of Nancy's cream cheese with the cheddar. the melted oily shit in the American "cheese" were what you enjoyed; you can replicate that, and get real cheese, by combining cheddar with something that melts really nicely & smoothly - and comes from a cow, not a lab.
