If you folks at the Merc are looking to do any follow-up or just hear a discussion of this issue, the City Club is putting on a citizen salon on human trafficking this evening at 6 at Kell's. FYI.

Thanks for the heads up, Oregonmetry. They do monthly human trafficking discussion events at Kell's (not sure why that's the location...) but tonight's looks like a bigger deal than usual, so it could be a good event to check out.

Here's the details: Tonight! Kell's! 6PM! Speakers are Labor Commissioner Brad Avakian, Multnomah County Deputy DA Greg Moawad, International Justice Mission's Mike Hogan.

Just got back from it, Sarah, and it was an awesome conversation. I'm pretty sure I was already on the upper tier of knowledge about the issue, but I came away with a whole lot more information.

Downside: $5 Heinekens. So THAT'S why I've never been to Kell's before...

When are they going to start a City Club 'Adopt a Ho' program. Oh wait I forgot the City Club will go for a regional Ho management authority.

Please wait...
