I'm with Anon on this one, there are plenty of places and times to talk during a show. Near the stage in the middle of the songs ain't it, unless the conversation is about how much the current song is rocking.

Jeff Tweedy has some thoughts on this matter:

Oh man, that Tweedy clip is incredible. It needs to be shown before every concert like the "turn off your cellphone" reminder before movies.

Facebook chatter, daddy issues, genital warts, holding in her farts--she's a real catch!
4
Sorry Anonymous, but pretty much ANYTHING (including genital warts) is more interesting than whatever Billy Corgan has to play.
5
I agree with I,Anon in principle...

but catandbeard is correct. Who the fuck pays $50 to see Bill Corgan?
6
I second Graham and third catandbeard.
7
Anon is obviously an uptight yuppie who should just move to Hillsboro!!1!
8
True, Graham and CAB, a Billy Corgan concert is the one place that I would find this behavior funny. Not funnier than a drum solo, but funny.
9
It seems that MFNW is a magnet for these idiots. I had to deal with Chatty Cathys at every show.
Next year I am loading up a squirt gun with vinegar and pepper to spray any open moving mouth I see.

"To the girl who thinks her Facebook is more interesting than whatever Billy Corgan has to play"...well, you're right but that doesn't make your behavior any more tolerable.
11
Maybe if you dislike listening to people at concerts then you should spend your money on some decent headphones and an LP player.
12
Tweedy has a point, but it goes to the range of being too self-important. "Let's see how long we can be quiet and see how awesome it feels."
Hmmm, are we in kindergarten?
13
All you need is a tweet picture of her, her facebook name, and the best quotes from the night. That cures all but the attention whores.

Every concert I go to now people are holding up their cell phones and snapping shitty photos. It annoys me.

As for texting, I was at a Radiohead show a few years back and some girl in front of me was texting, "OMG I'm watching Radiohead right now," and I wanted to yell at her "No you're not you're texting you liar."
15
Billy Corgan? I'm glad she annoyed you.

Billy Corgan fans deserve whatever strangers decide to do to them. That's what they're there for.

Please wait...
