@ Sarah, is there any discussion of signs for cyclists encouraging them to wear helmets and obey traffic rules? Just speaking from my own experience, there really seems to be a simmering problem as more people fill up the popular bike lanes, and I've seen way more angry exchanges over stuff like this between cyclists in the past 6 months then I ever saw before.
@Colin: Yeah, that commie homo Scam Adams spends $666 trillion on bike lanes and we get buckle up signs instead! Big government wants to tell us what to do even in our own cars!1!!~
@CC— ODOT does new traffic PSAs every couple months, but I haven't seen any specifically aimed at getting people on bikes to stick to the rules. This exact discussion, though, has totally boiled over in NYC where a lot more bikes are suddenly on the roads in recent years.
