If you are truly from Alabama, then you know that Huntsville, is in fact the hippy, liberal city of the state. There they embrace micro-brews instead of rejecting them as the spawn of coastal elites. There, art festivals have, in the past, featured actual art and not just the one and a half surviving members of Lynyrd Skynyrd. There, the state parks are lauded for their recreational and environmental value, and not just as a source of cheap timber.

Truly, it is almost bearable to go home.

But you can marry your sister, so it balances out.

@jackrabbit You're totally right that Huntsville is the hippy, liberal city of Alabama. I grew up an hour to the west. I'm truly grateful that I never needed a sex shop until college in Georgia. However, only in Alabama would you convert an old bank into a drive through sex shop. Win.
