Well, considering that an air pistol is not a real gun the statement is true. I think you could say the statement is misleading, but I think that in the relevant sense - of how much of a danger Ferguson was to the cops or to others - it hits the spot. The point is that everyone would have been better off if the cops had not showed - no one would be dead - and so they're not doing the job that they're supposed to do. They literally shot first and asked questions later - why was the negotiator not called until Ferguson was already dead? I think this is a pretty clear case of the cops being too trigger happy, which has been the point of Fire Frashour all along.

Let's hope some witnesses that live there at the deceased's building will offer some clarity to what happened in that hallway. I can't expect that too many people in the building were up at 3:45 in the morning, but somebody was up earlier receiving "candy" from the caller.
