Can someone explain to me what exactly "narrative nonfiction" is? (Yes, I used scare quotes)

IS this based on a true story? Is this all made up? What the fuck is it?

I've been told that this is worth seeing. And not just because Lena may soon become one of the more famous people to share my last name. Jeff Dunham has her beat at the top for the time being, I do believe. In either case ms. Hallett, you have increased my interest to see this film by at least 20%!

This sounds a tad like a short-lived show I dug from 2003-ish called Wonderfalls. Similiar premise, probably lighter, maybe funnier.
