Why is Weird Al using Wordpress hosted blog? I'd asusme that this guy could get a decent website.
2
Because having a Wordpress hosted site is the new recording your first album in your bathroom and mailing the tape to Dr. Demento.
All the cool kids are doing it.
3
Also, Gaga has to maintain complete control over her image and the illusion that she's 'creative', 'original' and has 'club cred'.
Having Weird Al do a parody treatment of you sort of short circuits all of that.
4
Dude, I have a signed, personalized headshot of Weird Al, too! I got it when I was like 7, though. My uncle was his tour manager.
5
I got his autograph when I was a kid too. It was after a show at the Hillsboro Fair and he was eating a family sized bucket of KFC... He got chicken grease stains all over the paper I had him sign.
6
So she wouldn't give him permission to parody a song that she blatantly ripped off from Madonna? Why does this fail to surprise me? Just further proof that she needs to sit in the corner for eternity.
7
The last person who said no to Weird Al was Coolio, and look where he ended up.

Now she's okay with it: http://www.npr.org/blogs/allsongs/2011/04/20/135582519/crisis-averted-lady-gaga-approves-weird-al-yankovic-parody-after-all

@pumpkingmidnightwhatever: Indeed: http://alyankovic.wordpress.com/2011/04/20…

Moral of the story: Lady Gaga's manager is a jerk.
10
So what you're saying is that you no longer think that "Frank's 2000 Inch TV" is one of the greatest songs ever written.
YOU RUIN EVERYTHING.
11
Apparently it's on like Donkey Kong! Lady Gaga has given Al the green light!

When do you need permission to do a parody ?

Please wait...
