The beanbag rounds should only be fired from a completely different shotgun, painted bright orange or pink or something. There would be no way that anyone could be confused over what they're firing. It's really bad that the same weapon can fire both. Perhaps beanbag rounds should be a different caliber, so that a beanbag gun wouldn't accept standard ammo.

This is only a few steps away in levels of brutality then the murder of Oscar Grant. This cop needs to be drug tested (ever wonder how cops get so fucking big? They hoped up on steroids) and charged with assault in the second.

Judging by the track record of the PPD, he was probably running because he was afraid of being shot. And based on the reports, it seems like an almost impossible mistake to make.
