Totally going to try out the "not drinking enough could kill me" argument at home. Not sure the wife will buy it.

Correction of the day: you wrote "circumcision band." If SF won't vote on their favorite circumcision band name, we certainly can here at Blogtown. But first we need some to vote on. I'll start.

The 4 Skins

Three Mohel Island

Dork Chops and Applesauce

Bow Wow Ow Leggoa My Dick You Fuckers!

I've heard horror stories of serious, long-term alcoholics having insane withdrawals and needing hospitalization. But we're talking about people in their 40s and 50s who were drinking constantly from the moment they woke up. Not sure if a 27-year old could have been that deep into it yet.

RIP crazy beehive lady.

Actually, sudden cessation of alcohol, for a severe alcoholic, can lead to seizure & death. Age is not a factor. i've been through detox several times & seen old men & girls as young as 22 have seizures. That is why alcoholics are supposed to go through medical detox and they are given anti-seizure med's when they first arrive. So, it's a definite possibility.

@Cat&beard, sadly people in their 20's have died from complications related to this (lets not forget drugs played a role here too). Basically this involves systemic shutdown. Cat&Beard is correct that withdrawal at that age would be uncommon. Really all I have to say is that this was a sad death and people living that lifestyle need to wake the fuck up. You are not bulletproof
