A Gallup poll found that 53 percent of Americans view Islam "unfavorably," yet 63 percent of the same people said they "don’t know anything about Islam" or "know just a little bit about the religion."

So, while these groups may be mutually exclusive, they're probably not. Get to know a Muslim people!

I prefer the term 'religiophobe'- if you get violently butthurt because somebody drew a picture of a fairytale hero, or don't eat pork because your magic book told you not to- you're a moron! The same goes for Mormons, Scientologists, Fundies, Jdubs, religious Jews, 7th Day Adventists, and Catholics...

If you can't find an actual Muslim to get to know, watch a season or two of "Little Mosque on the Prairie," even though it's Canadian.

Surpise!there are not a lot of Muslims living in Montana or lets say Alabama. While I do not want to see any group experience prejudice we don't owe Muslims any more than we do any other group. Some of which have still not been treated with equity or fairness(see Native Americans, Black people, Hispanics etc). The same people who were polled likely would'nt trust Black people,Jews, Mormons etc. What a shock. The Muslim thing is a hot button topic, but it does'nt play here. Unlike parts of Europe, there won't be an overrun of state subsidized immigrants from Muslin countries (reference Montana again)

Christian Montanan's have more firearms than extremist Muslims.
