This all just seems too overly complicated. I hope you are not letting go of the past because it is something you are ashamed of or because this guy thinks you should have every trace of gay removed. Things just don't work that way. If you've let go of the past because you've accepted it, truly learned from it, then moved on, good. This guy just sounds like an asshole and I'm not sure why you are hung up on him. If someone loves you unconditionally then they should love every part of you including the past, which makes you who you are today. He should especially love your past. He doesn't love you and is an emotionally immature child. The best thing you could do is leave and learn from the experience. Be excited to see what life brings you next.
