RIM reminds me of the species from Star Trek pilot that grew so complacent, they forgot how to use their own technology.
2
GOOD MORNING, SMIRK! HOW ARE YOU?!? I HOPE THAT #OCCUPYPUG SWEEPS THE NATION. THE MOST RECENT GALLOP POLL SHOWS THAT IT'S SEVENTEEN TIMES MORE POPULAR THAN TESTICULAR CANCER!
3
@Fruit Cup - Was that an actual episode? What series?
4
@Reymont, the pilot of the first series with Captain Pike. Remember, the aliens wanted humans to breed as their new slave species to repopulate their planet? Of course their complacency was caused by having technology that meant they could live their lives in a dream world. It's not an exact comparison.
5
@Cup: Are you talking about the huge-brained Talosians from the original pilot "The Cage"? Weren't they just too physically devolved, so they needed strong slaves to do their grunt work? (Where are the illegal immigrants when you need them?)
6
Ah, you answered my question while I was typing it. Good cup.
7
NERD ALERT !!
8
@7, to quote Ben from Parks and Recreation: "Nerd culture is mainstream now... use the word 'nerd' derogatorily, it means you're the one that's out of the zeitgeist."
9
Really? AWSOME!

What about 'dork'?
10
emmmm, do we have to explain that one???

Please wait...
