All those extras were on the DVD, and some of the lost footage has been floating around here and there. I love Lynch but I don't really feel the need to get this one --still no commentary -- why not? Too busy blogging the weather? Doing infomercials on transcendental meditation?

Is there chapter stops on this one? That's another thing he hasn't done for most of his films on DVD.

@ cat & beard. He seems to be okay with chapter stops now. The Blue Velvet Blu-ray doesn't have a main menu, going right into playing the film from the get-go, so maybe that's how MGM made him happy. Have you seen the weird Slow Club scene floating around? That is seriously the best reason to get this. It's a weird kitchen-sink night club act.

I was telling Erik at the Blog meet-up that I saw this film when it came out over in Germany, dubbed (and my German wasn't any good at all) with a girlfriend.
I was entranced by the images alone. My girlfriend was so disturbed though, she wanted to leave.
I made her stay with me while whispering translations.
