savory dougnut. Hey kettleman's makes a damn fine bagel.

Had these straight from the Dave's Killer Bread store. Really good, but it's pretty much like eating the good seed bread in the shape of a bagel.

SARAH, THERE IS FAR MORE IMPORTANT BAGEL NEWS HAPPENING RIGHT NOW: http://www.bizjournals.com/portland/news/2011/11/29/kettleman-sold-to-einstein-noah.html

So bummed. Goodbye my salt bagel love. Goodbye my salt bagel friend.

They were sampling those at the "Brunch on the Bridge" this summer. It was the most substantial food to be found. Pretty tasty, as I recall.

@Ginny, I almost bought some at New Seasons yesterday. The price seems a bit much, $4.69 for 4 bagels. But if they're actually good, it's worth it.

I tried these at New Seasons and I think they need to make them more bagel-like. Agree with comment #2. I like the Dave's products a lot, but this is the one product of theirs I've tried that I wouldn't recommend.

Sorry for trolling your bagel posts, smirk. But a BAGEL cannot be sold in a plastic bag in a supermarket. That, as pointed out above is DONUT/BREAD/O-LOAF. BAGEL is sold within 6 hours of cooking always, from baskets/shelves mounted on the wall. Usually by groups of a dozen, with an extra thrown in, in a brown paper bag. Stop the defamation!

just had kettlemen's from SE 11th this morning and something seemed... wrong. now i know. this is a sad day for bagel lovers in PDX... and a BIG opening for a real independent, GOOD bagel company to open ASAP.

Please wait...
