Saw it last night. While I didn't loathe it with every fiber of my being, I did think that it was poorly paced and that the acting left something to be desired. I enjoyed myself, but in spite of much of the production.

Getting doused with fake blood was kind of fun, though.

Well you have the right to your opinion but I thought the show was overall a great success hearing that they had traveled and set up that day. Kind of sucked it was almost like a dress rehearsal but the second time I saw it this weekend, the cast killed it. Technical errors occurred probably due to the amount of blood but I thought the cast did an awesome job throwing themselves into this show.

It's a tough job having to take a show on the road so I personally would love to send a shout out to the cast and say good job!

Those who can entertain perform in shows like The Evil Dead the Musical...those who can't write reviews for local media.

I will proudly admit that this was the second time I have seen the show and wouldn't hesitate to buy tickets should they bring the show around again. Perhaps you were expecting a carbon copy of the movie instead of the musical? While I appreciate your right to voice your opinion, I think the number of repeat audience members and the crowd reaction proves just one thing....it would appear that your opinion is that of the minority.

IN WHICH THE CAST OF EVIL DEAD THE MUSICAL WRITE A BUNCH OF COMMENTS ON AN UNFAVORABLE REVIEW IN AN ATTEMPT TO MAKE IT NOT LOOK QUITE SO AWFUL. LITTLE DO THEY KNOW THAT THE BEST WAY TO DEAL WITH BAD REVIEWS IS TO NOT RESPOND IN PUBLIC AND MAY BE TRY AND LEARN A LITTLE BIT FROM THE FEEDBACK.

YOU FAIL GUYS, BUT 5 POINTS FROM SLYTHERIN FOR BAD METHODOLOGY.

I don't who posted any of the previous comments were made by, but as a cast member of Evil Dead The Musical (I play Scotty), I would like to offer my insight. Performing is ever changing, and never complete, and as for us doing it live, we will never be the same show twice. The reviewer came on opening night, admittedly was not our best performance, especially after we drove 6 hours, built the set, set the Wonder up, and did our performance. Even when we were in Portland we made changes to our show; scene transitions and timing. I am not trying to justify anything, just offering you an explanation and saying that we did learn and will always be learning. I just want to submit to you that if we were such a crappy show why did we sell out 5 out of the 5 shows, ended on standing ovations, and spend at least a half hour after each performance taking pictures and talking to hundreds of smiling fans. And we had multiple returns to the show from our last performance in July. As entertainers that is what keeps us going and not negative reviews. So I support your right to have an opinion and I appreciate and have learned from some of the comments. Thank you for at least coming to our show, and sorry it wasn't all you dreamed - Scotty
