What the Hell Are SOPA and PIPA Anyway?

There's so much wrong about SOPA, I don't even know where to begin, how about the whole thing being a transparent attempt to prop up industries bloated by a century of physical media and regional distribution.

The MPAA's twitter feed is pretty hilarious today.

Homeland Security has done this to a number or "free" streaming sites for television/films/sports etc. The reason cited is copyright infringement (which is true). Why Homeland Security? There was another federal agency that was responsible for this but it was contracted/amalgamated.

Both Merkley & Wyden are against the initial introduction, and the bill itself.
