I am having troubles with coherent words for my aggravation, but I would just like to say (again) that Planned Parenthood was one of the key ways I got health care of any kind as a twentysomething. I don't understand how conservatives get health care -- am I missing some secret path to health care services (other than just have buckets of cash)?
Komen Foundation already seemed kind of dumb for preventing other charities from using "for the cure."
So a supposedly non-partisan non-profit pulls damn-near $700,000 in funding from PP - money that WAS going to BREAST-CANCER SCREENINGS(!!!) - b/c rather than have PP's back over what is basically an out-right war on women, the Susan B. Komen foundation instead COWERS and allows itself to be bullied by christian terrorists, WOW!
How awesome is this! Way to go Komen!
Planned Parenthood is an organization of ill repute that helped put to death 330,000 children JUST LAST YEAR! During Obama's term they have helped (and have profited from) putting to death over 1 MILLION children. You don't have to travel to other places around the world to see horrific genocide taking place. It's taking place at every Planned Parenthood facility around the country. It's so, so sad. So many innocent children have died from this plague we call abortion
The end result is millions (billions?) of dollars wasted and thousands of women senselessly maimed. PP is better off without Komen blood money, if you ask me.
Between breast and prostate cancers, the oncologists and urologists in this country have a pretty sweet mutilation racket going.
Remember, there's nothing wrong with spitting on a doctor. They're driving this country bankrupt while pretending to be saints. Your chances of finding one who isn't a greedy butcher are low.
And don't get me started on those fucking alternative medicine frauds.
Anyway, what percentage of PP's funding is being affected?
[edit: wow, the NPR article doesn't even say... Wikipedia says PP has a $1billion budget, so this is primarily a symbolic act by Komen. In that sense it's good, because it turns up the heat on the federal funding issue, which is where the action is.
Remember, PP is already prohibited by law from using federal funds for abortions. The conservatives are just trying to keep poor people barefoot and pregnant. Pass it on.]
