While I'm not fan of Santorum, Savage's claim is false. Santorum never compared homosexuality to child rape and dog fucking. He just added homosexuality to a long list of sexual activities the state regulates, including dog fucking and child rape, but also adultery, sodomy, and polygamy. Santorum is wrong on the policy, but right on the substance. The state does regulate all kinds of sex -- wrongly, imo, in the case of consensual sexual activities. But Savage is still wrong.
