How much avocado flavor does it impart?
2
I would probably pour this on avocados.
I'm disgusting :(

@ jim - it's got all the grassy, fruity overtones of avocado, but without the texture of the meat (obviously). it's not overpowering at all.
@ helevent - why the hell not?

I don't know, call me old-fashioned. Olive oil, hash oil, there's something about staying loyal to old favorites.

Thank you for posting this. I've been looking for someplace close to get some of the more exotic Middle Eastern cooking ingredients. I'll try the avocado oil. I'm sure it actually would make a great moisturizer. BTW #4, hash oil is a little too concentrated to cook with.

Thanks again! Can't wait to go check it out.
6
err... its available at any Zupan's, or Barbar world foods....
7
Sheridan has it too, though I think it might've been more expensive, not sure.
8
Yeah. I've seen this at New Seasons for sure.
9
Benessere Olive Oils and Vinegars has it - and you can sample every single oil there.

I went in to Benessere a few weeks ago and they said they weren't carrying it anymore! Maybe they've stocked it again since. I do like that shop.

Not news to me, but thank you for this piece nonetheless. Also, look into red palm and cocoanut oil. Very healthy providing you buy the version that has been processed correctly
12
Note....red Palm Oil is really only meant for cooking. It has a very earthy flavor which many do not like. Cocoanut oil on the other hand is great for cooking and as a dressing.

YUMMY!

I'm pretty sure I've seen avocado oil at New Seasons in the past. Will have to give it a try at some point. Grapeseed oil has a high smoke point and a lot of nutritional benefits as well.

Please wait...
