THIS COMIC LOOKS REALLY GOOD, BUT I WONDER IF 'WEBCOMIC' IS THE BEST FORMAT FOR THIS SORT OF THING. I'D ALMOST RATHER READ THIS A TPB AND NOT ON THE SCREEN.
I'm way more impressed these days by people who can tell a compelling story in a visual medium without the crutches of weapons and near-constant violence as juvenile/lazy shortcuts to effective drama.
But that's obviously just my fancy-pants personal preference. I also enjoyed Machete, so I'm not dogmatic, and I'm not immune to stories centering on busty Amazon space warriors (particularly when Bea Arthur is involved).
GRAHAM: I think most artists would prefer to see their work in print, but the economics (especially for high quality color TPBs) are extremely unforgiving. DD's update schedule is a few pages at a time, once a week, which I think works well for long form full page comics.
C&B: Next column will just feature some pictures of my sweet van.
C&C: It bodes well for us both that Family Man is coming up on the docket then.
