My parents gave me a new cell phone for Christmas of 2005. I kept that thing until just last year. It was a clamshell phone (a Samsung, I think). I remember that when I got it I was excited because it had a color screen and could take photos. And man, could that thing take some abuse.

I used it until just a year and a half ago, which is when I got a Cricket phone--their cheapest--and hallelujah, it has a tiny qwerty. Because by then I was texting more than calling. And typing out texts on a T9 is the definition of tedium.

And now I want an iPhone. Of course I do. SIGH.
