Good morning Blogtown! Did you listen to OPB this morning? Think Out Loud had the Philosophy Talk dudes and they were debating Superman vs Batman! It was amazing.

Also I saw that dang Raid: Redemption movie last night at Cinema 21 and HOLY SHIT! For reals, do yourselves a favor!

I listened to first few minutes of the Batman v Superman debate. I wished I could have listened to more, but had to go into work. I take serious umbrage to the casting of Batman as a "Zimmerman-like" figure. The only color Batman sees is the night.

"Tar baby" is a racial epithet in the same sense that "niggardly" is. Which is to say, yes, Bachmann is probably attempting to use it as a dog whistle to her illiterate coterie since it *sounds* epithet-ish and the analogy makes no sense whatsoever when the traditional meaning is applied, but the phrase itself is not necessarily racist at all.
