THE ONLY KIND OF EDUCATION THESE SCOFFLAWS NEED IS TIME IN THE GULAG.

Jonny is a little shit anyway, so he deserves it.

Factual error: J.P. Rowan never has and currently does not OWN Rip City Skate. J.P. Rowan may act like he owns it and claim he does, but hides behind the real owner when it is convenient to him. It is owned by Dave Pietka through the Mountain Shop. See http://egov.sos.state.or.us/br/pkg_web_name_srch_inq.show_detl?p_be_rsn=1390736&p_srce=BR_INQ&p_print=FALSE

Pietka has caused numerous problems for many in the outdoor activities industry including the Bike Gallery, the previous owner of the Mountain Shop, Serious Juggling, Daddies Board Shop and several of his former business partners.

I, Jp Rowan have actually never claimed to be the owner of Rip City Skate. The shop was built from scratch with my hard work, and David Pietka has actually been kind enough to finance the operation. He not only does not cause problems in the industry he instead empowers motivated people like myself to succeed. Additionally how is that at all relevant? The reality is that I work hard to grow the Portland Skate community and part of that is keeping it safe. That is why I have spent the past year attending these meetings and working towards a positive resolution for all.

Hi guys—The mistake is mine, I described JP as the owner when I should have described him as the manager. Sorry for the confusion, I've corrected his title in the post.

I've known JP Rowan and Billy Bones for years and I've never found them to be anything less than respectful, courteous and down for the community. I find it hard to believe that he would behave in the way Portland Business Owner described. I think that the members of any group that has problems with downhill skateboarding could do a lot worse then to deal with JP and Billy to solve their problems. Thanks.

It also should be pointed out that Sarah Mirk's longtime boyfriend testified in favor of the skateboarders on behalf of the BTA.
