We need to scrap the death penalty as we know it and replace it with the Irredeemable Piece of Human Garbage Czar. Each state that wanted to could submit one IPoHG application each year. If it was approved, the IPoHG would be summarily executed. If the application was refused, the state would lose the next year's application and the applicant would be prosecuted normally, to a max of life imprisonment without parole.
I don't think that the flag-waving bit of the Olympic portraits is the real issue. They really do look like something someone took with a point-and-shoot. The weird poses and exposed sets are fine but the lighting- it's awful. If the photographer wanted to de-mythologize Olympic athletes, great. But, he didn't pull it off.
Passing those shitty Olympics photographs off as "art" makes me hate society even more.
