Check a map, buddy - within that square you define, you'll find Podnah's, Good Neighbor Pizza, Breakside Brewery, and Woodlawn Coffee. Plus Florio Bakery, DOC, Autentica and Extracto. With Beast, Firehouse, Yakuza, Cup & Saucer, and Cocette just across Killingsworth and Dekum from your "box."

@1 - But Chris is an idiot and a shitty food writer, so that type of math is beyond him.

so, you're asking for more gentrification?

Still no Indian restaurants north of Burnside, though. I'd like to see the new place (within stumbling distance of my house!) be a mid-scale sports bar/neighborhood watering hole.

Definitely agree with Woodlawnian, and would also suggest U-Licious (the BBQ trailer at 15th/Killingsworth).

There's also an open space that had restaurants in it before it at 13th/Dekum on the north side.

@4 There is a great Indian restaurant on Sandy and 82nd...Namaste, I think.
