Hey PC, how about a story about how Obama has failed America? Even though Romney isn't perfect, he is still a much better candidate for President than Obama can ever hope to be. Hope and change my ass. Liberals just can't ever admit failure so they attack like little jelly jellyfish. Go ROMNEY!!!! Obama promised to unite us. Now we are more divided than ever. Obama promised to cut the deficit in half during his first term. Instead he added 5 trillion. Health Care law? More division. ILLEGAL immigration? Failure. Jobs? Where? I don't see 'em. You're better off calling Ghostbusters to find em because he ain't helping America create them. Affluent people are sick of his shit. They are the ones who actually create the jobs. Don't like it? There is nothing that will ever change that fact. Those who can, do. Those who can't, try to whine or steal until idiot politicians allow them a voice. The regular people of America are sick of the failure. He will be gone come November and permanently come January. Then our country can heal and get back to the business of letting people succeed instead of sucking off welfare. Fuck you, Paul Constant. You lying sack.

@Stjohnsrules - I agree that PC's musings are clearly one-sided, he ignores the problems of the Obama administration, of which there are many: like say, Obama personally ordering the assassination of Denver born 16 year old. That's a big deal, among many others.

But your Right-Wing-TV talking points are just fucking stupid. "Affluent people are sick of his shit. They are the ones who actually create the jobs." - No, no they don't: that's a bunch of horseshit. Regular people put together a bit of capital, and using innovation and hard work, go into business. You just want to suck off rich people, instead of sucking off welfare. How about you learn to take care of yourself?

Romney is going to be just as bad - possibly worse - than Obama on every single issue: Obamacare, Romney created it. Immigration & Jobs, Romney solves by giving jobs away to other countries. Where is your evidence that Romney is going to deviate from Obama on a single policy?

You really just need to turn off the TV and start living in the real world. Maybe if you had an actual conversation with someone who doesn't blindly support your views, you would see how full of shit you are.

Paul Constant is a hack, hand-picked by Dan "let's bomb Iraq" Savage to run point for the controlled left.

Spindles, you forgot the reptoids.

Steed, you need a hug. A nice long one with a little bit of sobbing. It won't make you gay, not even a little.

Hug it out, big guy.

ANGRY WHITE VOTER!!! Wait...what?
6
Ah, Mitt Romney. The John Kerry of 2012. How's that taste, GOP?
7
Romney's a 1-trick pony whose trick - shouting that the President has righted the GOP-overturned ship - isn't working.

And he can't do anything about the current shitstorm because, amazing businessman he is, he's nearly OUT OF MONEY until after the convention (see NYTimes article - http://thecaucus.blogs.nytimes.com/2012/07…). Maybe he's been running his campaign like he says he ran Bain those last few years?

@#1. I'm a small business owner in Portland. Have been for many years. Try again. Romney is far more moderate and it isn't up to him to dictate to anyone like Obama is doing. Obama is way out of line for circumventing not only the American public but congress, as is evidenced when congress struck down the Dream Act. Obama's solution? Fuck that. I just won't deport them. Well, I do have a heart and I know the immigration issue isn't easy to deal with but come the fuck on. That and the Fast and Furious protection for Holder is the last straw. He is crooked as hell and now it is time for change. All of his attack ads are desperate attempts at keeping his job even though his record is pathetic. I don't want a person like that misrepresenting my country. I'll take Romney not only in an election, but in a fist fight. Romney has balls. He stood up in front of the NAACP and straight up told them he was going to repeal ObamaCare. That's how it's done. That's what we need.

Mine was the first post. That was meant for #2. Speaking of #2.... I gotta take a wicked Dan Savage....

Please read the article #2. NPR isn't very biased but I can provide opinions about that if you request. Typically, it is a popular opinion that NPR is more biased toward liberal opinions than conservative ones. I state that fully understanding I did not provide a liberal-centric link. The author of the article is reputable and quite knowledgeable, nonetheless. Enjoy.

@stjohnsrules - You know, if you gauge a President's immigration policies on the number of people they have deported, Obama would be #1 in all of US history. He deported 1.2 million people, 400,000 a year. In comparison, Bush exported 2 million in his 8 years. Another interesting and politically contradictory tid-bit: it's easier (and more popular) to buy a gun under Obama than Bush.

I read through the article you posted, and I totally understand and agree with you that Obama is a totally failed President. The expectations and the results could not have been more off, and I think a lot of former "liberals" were disillusioned by this, while others can't ever accept it. Personally, I'm not a liberal, and I think most liberals have their heads up their asses. Though, I still have no reason to believe Romney is going to do a damn thing differently.

Now, do me a favor and read this article about the Illusion of Asymmetric Insight:

Also, I'm curious, where did you get the capital for your business? Was it venture capitalists, or family equity?

Hey, Mittens should be happy that nobody cares that a Mormon's running.
13
I don't see how this issue is really a "winner" for Obama, unless Bain Capital started clubbing baby seals when Romney supposedly was running the worst Winter Olypmics of all time.
14
Mittens doesn't have a coherent position on anything that he hasn't backpedaled on. Whatever Obama's failings are, Romney has a stink of desperation on him. People won't vote for him for the same reason people didn't date me me when I was twenty-two. There is nothing attractive about being around people with a, "Oh god, please like me! I'll do anything!" attitude.
15
What do you read Blogtown for if you're conservative? It must be a source of daily frustration for you.
16
The GOP should just ditch Romney and nominate Joe Isuzu.

fidelity: Thanks for your response and the article you provided was interesting. I can see certain elements in society today. The whole me vs. them thing. But please don't mistake my intentions here. Clearly, you're intelligent. So, for the sake of your wisdom, allow me to explain my views. Society, as a whole, when it breaks away from structure and lacks true leadership, chaos ensues. This is very evident today. I'm no war monger. I want order. If you have a raised a child, you will understand a basic fundamental that kids respond to is structure. They crave it. They thrive on it. Adults are the same way, which is evident in the "established hierarchy" in the story you posted. Now, this is not to be lost in the cloudiness of racism. Obama isn't a leader. Not in the sense that he has the entire country's best interests at heart. He panders to his side and his side only. He doesn't reach across the aisle enough with any sort of skilled diplomacy. He pits people against each other on pretty much every important level. I'm no psychology scholar and I don't have to be to know that his ideology isn't working. I want far more unity. I think MLK Jr was a great man. He changed this country for the better through diplomacy and eventually lost his life for it. I thought Bill Clinton, despite his personal flaws, was a good President. Obama has failed for many obvious reasons. When people call his detractors racist it only strengthens my resolve to oppose him and people who support him. It's a moral obligation for me.

And to your point about Obama's record on deportations, keep in mind that is what is supposed to be done. Since he has decided his Administration is going to sue states for attempting to defend themselves against illegal immigrant criminals, then he damn well better carry a big stick. But this issue is far deeper than mere deportations. Families are being torn apart in some instances but then you have the criminals that come here to exploit our country and commit every manner of crime. What is the best solution? Close the border down completely and arm it with National Guard troops until order is restored. Brian Terry need not die in vain for protecting our country. Only then can we ever talk about another Dream Act. One major failing on Obama's part is his seemingly lack of vision for what America needs. He isn't a leader. He is a ruthless divider. Class. Race. Gender. Us vs. Them as opposed to "hey let's all get the fuck together and figure this shit out". Pardon my profane outburst. My coffee is kickin' in and I need to exercise. I think Romney is far more moderate and has leadership skills that will be very apparent once he takes office. I could be wrong but that's how I see it.

Please wait...
