Also some commenter on gawker said he/she saw this monster and it wasn't as big as the pictures make it appear to be. As if it's better that it's small and can just sneak into your purse when you're not looking and then you unwittingly carry it into your apartment where it waits until you're sleeping and then eats your face??

It's probably a raccoon or drowned dog. Not sure why they would go with "pig." Lots of pigs running around NYC?

I saw a bloated headless dog like this floating in the river in Tennessee. This one looks like maybe it had its face eaten in a fight and then was thrown in the river. Or maybe the fishes ate its' face. The one in Tennessee though, had its head sawn off.
