Agreed. You're going to get such a talking to from Paul Constant.

If only someone around here had an opinion about this sort of thing...

I think a lot more of this is coming. There are several well organized advocacy groups that demand equality by lobbying businesses to cut business ties with offensive businesses. Glenn Beck couldn't even stand up to their might, nor could that fellow who said "nappy headed hoes", nor could Rush Limbaugh, and a whole bunch of others have gone under too. It was really dumb for the CEO to make statements like that, they'll be out of business within a year, or at least hurting significantly and the CEO will be ousted. CFA might be Bible-belt centric, but their partners and suppliers are not. To put CFA out of businesses is really simple: you just find out who CFA works with, like suppliers, distributors, marketing partners, and you go after them, systematically, to cut ties with CFA, until it's too costly for CFA to stay in business. You start with the partners who are sensitive first, then build off of victories to get larger and larger businesses to cut ties and watch the companies snow ball until you have massive corporations cutting ties too.

I think this is perfectly acceptable, and frankly rather predictable, outcome of making such bigoted statements. The debate over homosexuality and marriage is concluded: the gays have won. You either need to jump on that ship, or look like an asshole to the public. I think Allison really needs to take a step back and look at this whole thing from a 40,000 foot level, and look at it objectively. CFA’s leadership has taken a reprehensible position against a distinct and oppressed portion of our society, the moral thing to do is to cut ties with that business, this is just one step in the right direction. Not giving kids books sucks, but it sucks even more for a businesses to be down the road that claims a kid’s parents are going to hell.

Please wait...
