70mm is fine and dandy, and it's commendable of Paul WS Anderson to make his film in the format. But I have to wonder, was it necessary? By all appearances, this is a drama film with a limited scope and mostly about the interactions of people. Is such a huge format really necessary for that? It's like like filming My Dinner With Andre in IMAX 3D.
