Oh, Trimet. Failure at it's finest.

Oh, Karstan. Punctuation errors at their finest.

Nice that I'm learning that my bus stop is gone from this article because TriMet failed to let anyone know they were taking away the stops. Gee I can't wait to walk the extra 8 blocks on dark rainy nights this winter.

The funny thing is, the drivers are totally struggling to get around the turns (I thought it was some weird detour they were taking) of the triangle because it's a residential street they're using. How about turning around at MLK/Lombard? Did this honestly save any $$?

Great work, Trimet!

I hope something can be worked out. Good transit is important to the neighborhood. We all rely on Tri-Met. Having bus drivers take their breaks by the park should improve security and help businesses. The drivers can report any inappropriate behavior- they have direct radio contact to the police. The buses used to go both ways on Dekum- now they only make a loop around the Firehouse. I hope the Firehouse management will work cooperatively with Tri-Met to let the drivers use their bathroom- the drivers are just workers- they shouldn't have to suffer in this.

Tommy, perhaps you're unclear on the issues that are really at the heart of this. The rumblings of the buses by Firehouse are purely a secondary concern. It's the the quality of life issues for our neighbors and safety issues for children, pedestrians and bikers that are most important. And please don't look to me to work cooperatively with tri met drivers-that's the role of tri-met management. MY role as a neighborhood business is to do what is best for the neighborhood and its residents first and foremost.
