You know, I've really had it up to here with Sam. Well, I know you can't see where my hand is, but rest assured it's pretty high up.

Paper is in many ways more harmful to the environment than plastic.

And it's not taxing food, Leonard, it's taxing transporting that food using free disposable single use bags. That's an important difference.

Should that read "non-reusable plastic bags" in the first paragraph?

The paper bags at Fred Meyer are no thicker than a piece of notebook paper and will rip with little to no abuse. $0.05 for one of those is about 4.5 cents too much.

The timber industry does provide a lot of local jobs. And someone needs to clue environmentalists into the fact that timber is the ultimate "sustainable" product. As long as it's harvested responsibly, it has literally thousands of applications, and it grows back, right out of the ground with minimal help after it is planted. While it grows back over decades it is part of the ecosystem with lots of nice critters living inside of it.

Denis, I haven't seen any mention here in the last couple of days of Jefferson Smith, you know, punching a woman in the face. Any comment or is he your preferred candidate?
