Pambiche has amazing shakes, juices, etc. Luc Lac has some interesting options too.

Pok Pok's water is some of the greatest liquid I've ever let slide down my gullet.
3
La Calaca has some very VERY delicious beverages for you.

C'mon, Chris; i admire your professionalism and admission that alcohol might cloud your work a bit, but it's not like your boss and coworkers aren't ever fish-eyed when they're on the job...

(In fact, i bet they're quietly judging you because of this post.)

Sapphire Hotel has an option called Jake's Choice (I think), where the bartender will make you some random mocktail. I've yet to be disappointed.

If you like the fruity Bye & Bye at the Bye & Bye, request the Floor Punch which just leaves the alcohol out. Both the Bye & Bye and Sweet Hereafter have great bartenders that can put together some really lovely non-alcoholic drinks.

If your bartender is uncreative, request something with a base of ginger beer. I like getting (and making at home) a "Not-So-Dark-and-Stormy", using ginger beer, lime juice and just a little bit of molasses (which takes place of the rum flavor).

Several places now have kombucha on tap, including the Old Gold - slighty bitter and carbonated, it can often take the place of a drink.

Oh, and Portobello? Best mocktail list EVER. Creative, seasonal, and constantly changing, the bartender (who won Iron Bartender a couple years ago) puts just as much effort into the mocktail list as she does the cocktail list. Not your normal bar, but go in for a mocktail and stay for the beet tartare.

As someone that loves to drink and really appreciates a good cocktail, I spent five months last year taking a break from alcohol but not from going out. There are plenty of options in this city besides soda water and lime.

Po'shines hibiscus flower something or other drink is effin' delicious. But don't go and make it all popular, cause I love it too much w/ it being overrun by...well...you know.
Also, closed on Sundays.

@RAINBOWWINE: LIKE ONSTAD WOULD EVER BE CAUGHT DEAD IN A VEGAN RESTAURANT. IF IT ISN'T SANDWICHED BETWEEN TWO CHICKEN BREASTS AND FRIED IN FATBACK, HE HAS NO INTEREST IN IT.
8
Gruner has very good flavored sodas (I think made in the restaurant). Thanks Chris, this is an issue that is pertinent to pregnant women who want to enjoy their food with something other than water, coca-cola or pepsi products.
9
Saucebox makes some great non-alcoholic beverages. They're on the drink menu, which means they really mean it.
10
The Parish bartenders mix up some great virgins on request. Never had a pregnant gal or sober cobra anything but rave about what our bartenders put together.
11
Try Blossoming Lotus, They make a mean non-alcoholic drink.
Go in during happy hour and try the Vegan BBQ soycurl tacos.

Freehouse has a slew of great house-made sodas, and Shenaut put some great non-alcoholic drinks on the menu at Raven & Rose. (full disclosure: R&R is a client, but it's not on the website, so I thought you should know).

Please wait...
