I'd like these tickets because. Just because. My engorged sense of entitlement needs to be fed.
2
Just As Long As We're Together. It was my guidebook to being friends with other 12-year-old girls and starting my period.

I also loved Are You There God? It's Me, Margaret because, whoa, pads used to be so crazy! The belts and stuff? Dang! That must have sucked even more than current pads do.

I can't actually go to that thing tonight so I'm not trying to win the tickets, I just really, really like talking about Judy Blume books.

@Joneser: The event is tomorrow, not tonight.
5
@ Graham: I like reading but I suck at it.
6
Tales of a Fourth-Grade Nothing! As a kid I identified with Peter, the big brother, having to deal with his annoying little bro.
7
No it's tonight! TONIGHT!

My favorite Judy Blume book is Wifey, because I found it in a box of my parents' stuff when I was 12 and I read it frequently for pages at a time.

Also, Fudge-a-Mania, because I had a total literary crush on Isobel.

My favorite now, is Are you there god? It's me, Margaret. Because frankly I love to let my 12 year old girl know just how lucky she is to live in a time where getting your menstrual cycle isn't all about humiliation and wearing diapers to take care of it! I also love to read it out loud to really let her know, also that while we have come very far in growing up as girls. We are also still very similar to how it used to be.

Then Again Maybe I Won't taught me it was perfectly okay to be kind of perverted so long as you respect people. Are You There God, It's Me Margaret gave me insight into the secret goings on of young girls (this came in handy when attempting to talk to them at school dances). Forever gave me boners galore. Superfudge was totally over rated.

Essentially - Judy Blume novels were the Penthouse Letters of my youth.

MY FAVORITE WAS "MORE TALES OF MENSTRUAL MARGARET." YOU PROBABLY HAVEN'T HEARD OF IT.

Wait, I was supposed to say what my favorite Judy Blume book was. It's kind of a toss-up; but it'd have to be either, "Ramona Quimby, Age 8" or "June B. Jones And Her Big Fat Mouth".

Did I win?

Who won!?

I was into the Hardy boys...the books i mean.

Please wait...
