Most unfortunate for Stiffler, but the blatant omission of any reference to his mom makes me question the integrity of journalists everywhere.

As a cyclist in Portland for the past 6 1/2 years I can say with brutal truth: Nobody crashes into another person, let alone a cop, purposefully. The only exceptions being Tallbike Jousting and Minibike Mayhem on Alberta during Last Thursday.

WRITER USING BIG WORDS WRONG ALERT!!

calumnious - adj. Containing or implying calumny; slanderous or defamatory.

calumny - n. pl. cal·um·nies 1. A false statement maliciously made to injure another's reputation. 2. The utterance of maliciously false statements; slander.

malice - n. 1. A desire to harm others or to see others suffer; extreme ill will or spite.

So essentially the author is claiming that Officer Harris is lying with an extreme intent to cause suffering and/or harm to Stiffler.
