but did you also play the alternate version where you had to stop the coin by lightly pinning it with your finger? it was equally bloody.
i'm 24, from these parts. we played that tennis ball game too, but it was more like wall ball w/a punishment phase, and if you messed up you had to try and run to the wall before your opponent got to the ball.
both of those games were harmless fun though, we're good man.
The way we played Bloody knuckles was to punch our fist directly into another kid's fist (he was also punching) repeatedly. Whoever bled first was the loser. St. John's was a lot different back in the 70's.
