It didn't feel like an art event at all. The gallery space was tiny and off to the side. There was that white room with Alex Dolan's stuff and the room behind it with the tape recorder project, then maybe a gallery by the fences (with barbed wire)? I don't know, I didn't make it over there because it was also near the all-ages section and the alcohol monitors wouldn't let me in. I'm not against rock shows by any means, but I really missed having 6 or 8 classrooms to wander through and see videos in.
Plus the sound was terrible. That space is too big for bands that loud. Everything was a mush. Even just standing around talking between bands it was often too loud to hear what my friends a foot away from me were saying. I wish they had built more walls to control that, but money.
