Yep, and get rid of the Commission format while we're at it. We think we're doing this because we're smarter than everyone else. But when you are the odd man out, maybe everyone else has figured out something that you haven't.
I'm kinda mixed on this. On the one hand, it's good to have the power spread out a bit, but on the other hand, one advantage of the Portland system is the commissioners have quite a bit more power than they would if we had a lot more commissioners. The only real thing the mayor has that they don't is he gets to dole out the bureaus, and he gets to get set the tone for the budget. The mayor still has to get two more votes to pass his agenda.
