1. Considering you threw terms out calling Palin, among other things, a racist, it seems this is a pot calling the kettle black situation.

2. Welcome to the internet. Find a forum that doesn't have a half dozen or so 12 year olds on every thread dishing out language like this.

3. Free Republic really isn't a 'Tea Party' forum even though some of the old timers wish it were. It long ago became a mostly parody forum of the right. It used to be legit. It is now closer to Something Awful's forums- especially as there is a cross over of members there.

4. Considering the personal attacks you made on Palin (see point 1), I'm actually surprised how few comments like those you describe are in that forum thread (and most are by the same couple of people). A majority of comments don't resemble those. Somewhat shocking considering point 3.

5. Regarding some of your complaints about some comments Palin made in her book based on your original review, I would suggest Googling the phrase "Inability to detect sarcasm".
