The only issue that has any sympathy with me is class size.
But our taxes just went up by a huge margin, for repair of schools, and the so-called 'arts tax'.
I'm not inclined to open my wallet further at this time.

Some points to clarify: The union does not have to wait for the district to impose to authorize a strike. The union is only voting to authorize a strike; the 10 days does not automatically begin with a yes vote. The Oregonian gets its talking points from the district.
