Crimea was part of Russia until about 60 years ago. The vast majority of people who live there want to rejoin Russia. What happened to us supporting democracy???

If the people who live there vote for it, then yes. Absolutely. You can't call yourself a democracy if you only allow democratic opinions that you agree with.
