If I remember correctly, a lot of the events in books 4 and 5 are happening concurrently, so it's not too much of a stretch to be dealing with book 5 events in this season. I suspect the writers are taking the totality of books 4 and 5 and working them out into two seasons.
This is still book three that they're on. Yes, books four and five happen concurrently, but there's so much chaff in each of them that they could easily be condensed into a single season.
The whole wedding scene wasn't as I pictured it would be, but it was still quite enjoyable. I am amazed at how much more horrid the on-screen Joffrey has been compared to the on-the-page Joffrey. Kudos to Jack Gleeson on a job well done. Also, I think the pulling of storyline from the later books isn't so bad because they might put some of the lesser parts from the early books into the later seasons as well. We'll just have to see, eh? Looking forward to seeing the Red Viper be badass...for a last hurrah.
I'm looking forward to the "something else." I feel like we've had a good fill of King's Landing and the Lannisters. And uh, thanks for illuminating the Queen of Thorns thing...
These recaps are not great. Can we make them a little less about you and how you can't spell people's names and how you find some parts boring?
