People who are hopping mad about a hundred-dollar street fee are not likely to start writing fat checks to a recall campaign. The supposedly-irate public didn't come through financially for the Water and Sewer initiative and they're not going to come through for this recall either.

That's why rightwingers have gotten more and more comfortable relying on the handful of large money donors out there, like the Koch brothers. Grassroots conservatives don't give to political campaigns anymore.
