Just TODAY i watched a group of shitty, kackling hipsters walking in dt. Half of them crossed SW Washington and 5th on a NO-WALK signal, right in the path of an on-coming #15. The bus slows down ofcourse, and one of these douchers has the nerve to put up his arms like "whatever". They were all acting pretty fucking obnoxious about it; the idea that a bus driver would honk at them and be annoyed because abunch of "too-cool" hipsters prefer to block traffic in dt Portland during rush-hour, rather than WAIT 10 fucking seconds for a walk signal.

So yeah, fuck hipsters.

The opposite of a hipster is NOT an SUV-driving suburbanite. It's a person who doesn't live for trend-following and the approval of others. You and the SUV-driving suburbanite have wayyyy more in common than you and I do.

I hate it too. Mainly because everyone who frequently uses the word hipster has a different idea of what a hipster is. When you put all of those different ideas together you get pretty much everyone in Portland.
