BTW, doing 45 MPH on Prescott is speeding, otherwise known as breaking the law.
so, it sounds like your message is really 'Don't ride your bike here, so you won't inconvenience a bunch of scofflaw motorists who could give a shit about the speed limit and don't want to be inconvenienced by having to watch out for other road users and drive safely'?
"Hear, hear! Ditto to the drunk cyclists riding down Alberta wearing all black in the dead of night -- you terrify me, please choose the safer option."
There is ZERO traffic along Alberta in the dead of night. So maybe that person WAS choosing a safer option!
Damosa,
You are pathetic. Really? At 3:53 am this is what you chimed in with? The person was simply looking out for for mankind. I bet you took offense because they were wearing black so automatically you got defensive. Grow up little man...
Haha! Nice-- there totally needs to be little signs on main streets telling cyclists they've got better options a few streets over. Or maybe a little public education campaign:
Hey, cyclists! Don't ride on main streets! There's a safer, faster option just a few streets over.
I get no commission. I'm just sayin' it's a tad bit annoying to have all these unregistered, unaccountable random people chiming in with their two cents - sticking their noses in others business without even being made to answer for their own words.
Still going on about registered vs non- registered DamosA? I'm gonna have to sick Sad Mao on you again.
There are few of us registered users who actually use their real name, like you and I, so what's the difference?
As for me, I'm riding my bike down whatever street I want to - but stay aware of car doors and keep to the right as far as I can. I try not to impede car traffic, which is something some of these selfish,self-righteous assholes take pleasure in.
Man, i think the Merc. should re-consider it's board policy where it concerns repeated *unregistered comments. I'm no fan of fascism, but someone really needs to reign in this shit - before it gets out of hand.
they're all public streets, douchebag, and you are allowed to ride your bike on all of them.
the only streets in portland closed to bikes are the limited access freeways.
suck it up.

Problem solved.

I from what I can tell, and correct me if I am wrong, registering doesn't allow up any more information other than a picture.
Also, the comments are all on an anonymous tip anyhow. Is your real name real/birth name really Damosa? Curious.
Thanks. Sheila

As the "y" in anonymous is a middle finger aiming right down your throat son.
You're welcome.
