Those people, the ones riding the train? That's what it's for. It's for riding.
2
Is that still considered the "free rail zone" or whatever the hell they call it? If so, TriMet, you are giving up so much money-making potential. You know the fat and lazy would rather part with their money than their fat-store.

UGH, I HATE IT WHEN PEOPLE USE MASS TRANIST IN THE MANNER IN WHICH IT WAS INTENDED.
4
If it's such an easy walk, why don't you walk the 10 blocks to Lloyd yourself to catch the train there and STFU? That solves at least a couple problems.

y so mad at womens anon

spot-on rant. Fat and lazy people need to be reminded that they are fat and lazy, especially when they take up half the train and won't move for others. and it's a big difference between "riding" the train 1 or 2 stops, then actually having to ride it long distance. That first comment was dumb.

Don't worry, the free rail zone is going away soon. Trimet is going to make bank off of those east county lard-butts by collecting fares or writing tickets. A few of them might actually walk, too.

The train has to sit and wait up to 3x as long at those stops between Rose Quarter and Lloyd because of the sheer amount of humanity pouring into and spilling out of it. Then it moves slower from stop to stop, mostly due to the number of pedestrians constantly crossing in front of it, and there's 2 stops inbetween the Rose Quarter and Lloyd Center, where most of those commuters are parked.

You will likely make it on foot to your car in either the exact same amount of time, or faster, if you do not board the train and instead just walk to your car at Lloyd. Plus then you don't have to spend about 10 minutes with your face mashed into someone's armpit until the train farts out 2/3rds of its passengers at one stop.

@Fat Boy Roberts -agreed. Now I am both a Blazers and Timbers fan , I wanted to say that before I make this point: yes, you have every right to ride MAX just like anyone else. However-this goes to Timber fans too (more of whom walk, to be fair)_it does not mean you have to dogfuck pile on the train (especially on the way back when you are beered up, sweaty and smell like shit) crushing people, trampling kids etc. Generally, we all get along here, but there are more than a few idiots that make all of us as fans look bad at times.@Graham....fail. Nice sense of entitlement. Because all of those people going home from work and school or picking up their kids -you know THE MAJORITY OF PEOPLE WHO RIDE MASS TRANSIT- are not the reason it exists?

Please wait...
