you had me with your rant about the nauseating poster. you lost me with your defense of BofA.
tell your husband to switch to a credit union, or deal with the fallout of supporting an evil corperation
2
Also, direct deposit.

"Lost: Heart Found: Happiness"? I don't get it.
3
I think it means, "I found happiness when I lost my heart." Possibly implying, "...lost my heart to you," as in fell in love. I don't think there's an implication of literal coronary removal.
4
@3...no. And I don't believe anon is defending B of A rather commenting that asshole vandalism does not really hurt that 1% (and its pussy behavior in my view). I am guessing it was done at night and not within view of a camera.

BoA is the no. 1 most evil (in a negative sense) goddamned "banking" corp. in the country. So fucking what if a little paint gets tossed onto one of their many countless ATMs?

If this IA is MORE upset about an ATM getting vandalized than someone whose home gets foreclosed on due to predatory banking practices, then she SERIOUSLY needs to re-arrange her synapses! Les she forget, just afew months ago BoA was about to start charging ITS OWN CUSTOMERS (like her husband) a $5 monthly extortion fee just for the privilege of using their own ATMs.

Lastly, half the telephone poles in this city are plastered with fliers - many to the point of bulging. Why did this ONE SINGLE flier annoy her soo much?

First world problems - if you can even call 'em that.. She lives in NW, so what is she even whining about?!

Ahahhahahah DamosA. u mad

I can't say I'm sympathetic. You should get out of BofA quickly. Use your logic skills to ask why. Why was there paint on the ATM? Don't go for the simple answer "somebody put it there". Keep asking why until you get to the point where you understand that you need to get out of BofA.

If you have debt with a bank you can't just up and leave. My guess is that is why the person was depositing their paycheck (which if you are a private contractor might not be able to be "direct deposited.) Once again Occupy sympathizers only seeing one possibility out of many. This is just one of the many reasons why middle of the road American has yet to fully embrace the occupy movement, even though they may support the ideals.

No one in this town is older than 12, I'm sure of it. You are all awful and should die real soon.
10
Why has no one responded to the perfectly valid complaints of commenter #9 yet?

And somewhat slightly off topic, but: not every employer can do the direct deposit thing. So acting like they all can is just stupid. Now, this is still no reason to give your money to BofA, so...

I love it how people like to dump ALL of the blame for our epidemic of foreclosures on banks. Yet, why aren't our little Sandinistas griping about the public policy that allowed them, nay, encouraged them to make said loans in the first place? Remeber, the great Bill Clinton made it a priority to make home ownership accessible to lower income people. A noble goal, but boy did that backfire.

There's a very simple rule, don't bite off more than you can chew. If you want a house, great, just make sure it's within your means. And who the fuck would sign an ARM? Ever read one of those contracts?

We're in this mess because people bought into the fairly tale that housing prices would increase forever and there was money to be made from the equity and through flipping them. Another simple rule, what goes up, must come down. Always. We're all just as guilty of greed as the banks.

But hey, if we all want to shit on Bank of America, fine.
12
I love to pay that $5 fee, knowingly that most of it their ATM's work like well greased locomotives in case there's an emergency and I need to withdraw cash or make a payment.
13
@11: Yeah! How dare people blame banks, the Fed, etc. This is obviously about Nicaragua, and Democratic president whose policies were largely indistinguishable from Republicans'!
14
wait...are you saying that if I had a mortgage with Bank of America I wouldn't be allowed to close my checking account? or, if I kept it open, wouldn't be allowed to withdraw most of my cash (whatever it amounted to)? That, right there, would be (if true) an example of why these banks are bloodsucking evilnesses.

@11: I don't think anyone is dumping ALL the blame for our epidemic of foreclosures on banks. However, your twee little tirade about public policy ignores, you know, that whole Occupy thing, which was entirely geared toward shifting public policy?

Not to mention the only reason the banks were able to operate in the way that allowed them to bring our economy to its knees (yes, I am dumping an incredibly large amount of the blame for our epidemic of foreclosures on banks) was the millions upon millions of dollars spent lobbying Congress to repeal Glass-Steagal (allowing banks to provide investments and loans in the same desk) and creating a regulatory environment in which, even if there were flagrant violations of federal law, no shareholder, executive or board member would ever be held in any way accountable for that mischief.

All this, wrapped up in a bullish retail banking sector that had 20-something loan officers living mostly on commission, offered sincere incentives for bank employees to muscle people into loans they couldn't possibly pay back, in order for the bank to make a short-term profit by packaging that loans with hundreds of others and selling it into the investment market as a package. This made it so that many lendees were misled about the terms of their loans and were promised all sorts of refi options, among other things, that never materialized.

If you want to go jack off on JP Morgan's shoes, you're free to do so. But the comment you posted here makes you sound like an insufferable imbecile that understands nothing about economics, politics or anything remotely related. I don't have a home loan and bank with a credit union. How you can claim "we're all just as guilty of greed as the banks" is beyond me. Maybe you're happy being a greedy fuck like Jamie Dimon, but I'm not. So fuck you, fuck Bank of America (and its insanely neo-colonial practices and its peers like Wells Fargo who knowingly launder money for drug cartels).

Go read some fucking Matt Taibbi, Felix Salmon, or shit, even Tom Fucking Friedman before posting your economically illiterate fuckstick comments here. Real people got fucked. They lost their retirements, lost their houses, lost their life savings. Most of them, through no fault of their own. For you to say otherwise just makes you a sucker being played like a fiddle for the benefit of those that need no assistance.

Why are we focusing on/discusisng the evils of the U.S. banking system when we haven't come to an agreement on what the phrase "lost: heart found: happiness" means? I NEED TO KNOW WHAT IT MEEEAAANS!!!
17
cheetoface needs to post more often.

"Sorry for the inconvenience, we're trying to change the world."

Fuck BofA and Chase and all the rest of them dirty national banks. Bank Local with a credit union. It's probably the single most effective thing you can do to take the power back from corrupting, dishonest and destructive mega corporations and empower your own community.
